Good morning Al and all :)

Quiet day here too I think. Hopefully it’ll dry up as forecast and we’ll get a couple of walks with Bill and I’ve also got a jigsaw I want to finish because Joe had a unique one made for me for Christmas which I really want to start, it’s of the four of us sat on the couch in the Friends Central Perk set at the Warner Bros Studios in LA when we were there four years ago.

Have a good day all :D

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

By 'eck that's cold out t here. Thick frost   so we stayed in bed

The sun will melt the frost soon - will have to check my plants later, some are a little droopy already :(

The car crash that is my kitchen will be sorted out later. We had a brilliant night, Chris had a lovely birthday and we chatted for hours. And drank a lot of wine too   Not over board, but enough.

So a quiet day here too 8-)

A lovely jigsaw for you to do Jo :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning evrybody.

The sun is trying to come out but there are still some grey clouds. Had a lot of rain last night and strong winds. But these have stopped and the trees are not moving.

Just relaxing again today.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning everyone.

It is clear, crisp, cold and very still hereabouts.

Storm Bella ripped through very quickly late last evening - winds and rain but no damage - before heading south where she looks to have been a beast. I hope you VVers in the area are safe and have not suffered too much.

I am going to get some puppy nibbles for when I go meet the new puppies Timo and Ollie this afternoon..... and maybe a few cans as well. ;)

Stay safe and enjoy your day.

Morning all. Sunny and blue skies here but blinking cold.
Roast gammon for dinner, yum.
Apart from this not very much. Tomorrow we will need a few bits but right now we're in no hurry.
I've started reading books again after years of not bothering!
Have a good day all.

hello everyone

Jo, that is such a lovely gift - wow!
Frank enjoy the puppy cuddles, always good for the soul
Jan, don't blame you - no reason to get up if it's that cold ;-)
Cruiser and Ally enjoy your relax days
Crommers enjoy the gammon. We had that for Christmas day; and I agree - yum yum yum!

Well Storm Bella certainly did blow a hooley overnight but thank goodness the gazebo covering the chicken area stayed in place. But then I've tied it down really well (even if I say so myself) so had it come loose it would have caused damage. Lovely blue skies now so about to put on my wellies and take a walk to the allotment to have a look if all is OK there. Should do some work there but I really need quite a few more hours than I've got today so I'll just to check on things and hopefully have time tomorrow, weather dependent.

Other than that - general chill day for me as well

Have a lovely Sunday all x

Afternoon all :)

High winds and heavy rain overnight, but it's nice and sunny right now.

What a lovely present Jo, enjoy starting your new jigsaw.

We're having a nice quiet day. No roast dinner for us, we're having chicken in red wine, crushed carrot and swede, green beans and peas. All out of the freezer, easy peasy. Did make a pud though, chocolate blancmange with lemon and lime jelly.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, we seem to have succumbed to post-Christmas slothfulness and didn’t get up until almost 9.30! It was a nice bright morning after plenty of rain last night, but has clouded over now and when we went for a walk earlier it was very cold indeed. I got a wash done and will do the towels later. Otherwise no plan except to slob around doing as little as possible. Miss Osc and family left behind a lot of their presents on Friday as they had walked here, so they will be collected at some stage. They are heading to their house in Wicklow tomorrow to bring some furniture there prior to their move next month - strictly speaking they should not be travelling outside Co. Dublin, but I think they are covered because they can say they are moving house. They have other furniture stored there that they may need for the new house . Reading and knitting (maybe) for me while Edward will be watching sport.

It's been a stunningly sunny day, but cold in the wind. Have protected most of the more dodgy plants, but a lot are drooping, because of the cold. Also brought some over from the garden, to sit by the house and have full sun all day.

Managed to get some weeding done, next doors donkeys loved it

Now getting cold again, fire lit 8-) and steak pie for dinner. with chips
