According to Sky's map Leeds is a hot spot for the new variant, so T4 looms. Will it make any difference? Not a lot. People up and down the land tend to be doing their own thing. Some are being sensible and looking after themselves and others, the boneheads are out for a blast. It was always so and always will be.

Absolutely spot on. I think it's been that way down here for the last three or four months.

We've just heard that T., our 12yo nephew, who lives in Bushey, near Watford, "has had the Covid". We don't know yet when or how, or even if it was confirmed diagnosis, but whatever it was, he had it badly and is now recovering. :o

Oh my goodness, just watching a live press conference from Nashville, and they are talking about how they evacuated the exact building we stayed in in 2016

Just been told we're going to Jan's for New Years Eve   I'm normally in bed by 10.00 at the latest   But after last year, when her mum fell over and it sort of ended the evening, it's just going to be about 6 of us. Same as last night.

Now I have to think of what to cook

I have just got a letter through the post with an appointment at the orthopaedic department at our local hospital.
The appointment was for 1.30pm yesterday.

Ho hum. Christmas post I suppose, it's been very behind hand here.
I've rung up and they have said they are sending me another appointment out.
Fingers crossed.

Crommers, we had a situation a few years ago where Joe had a hospital appointment on a Wednesday morning but when we got there we were told it had been cancelled.
The letter cancelling it arrived two days later and had been posted out second class the day before the appointment.
