A country full of morons.

Protests and counter protests, trips to the beach and beauty spots, illegal raves and all attended by thousands. Most of the attendees to all those things not bothering with the two-metre rule or basic common sense / hygiene.

The government might as well come out and say: "Sod it. Here is the guidance. If you follow it we will help, but if you break it then you pick up the pieces. On your heads be it, it's up to you."

We do not have the resources to control and police these things so we might as well just identify as many of them as we can and if they fall ill send them the bill - the whole bill for everything: care, drugs, time in hospital. It is time to follow the principle of 'self-inflicted injuries' and act accordingly.

We do seem to lack the discipline of the Germans or Far East nations.
Young 'uns have twigged that they are most unlikely to be killed by Covid 19 so a lot of them aren't bothering with social distancing.
And yes, we have our fair share of boneheads who know nothing about anything and don't care either.

After seeing the photo of illegal raves in Leeds Manchester
Why am I ,isolated ??
The police must have known they where going to happen there where thousand s there and the rubbish they left behind was terrible
Nobody gives a dam as they walk away
Police should have put a cordon round them and made them clear it up

Just out of interest....

The government has always said that it is following the science, hence the daily briefings, and so we have had the decision to open the shops. It has also just said that the review of the two-metre rule will be completed 'in the coming weeks'. Excuse me but shouldn't such things be being reviewed on a rolling daily basis?

When people have been standing in queues for up to two hours at a time in close proximity they could easily be at work and the children could be back at school. Furloughing with up to 80% of salary paid seemed a very good idea at the time but I am not sure whether it should have been extended. Raves, protest marches, shopping til you shop, it just doesn't make sense any more.

I thought people were furloughed because there was no work, not because they chose to be furloughed?

My understanding was that Furlough was being paid because the government had shut the country, therefore the businesses, down and were putting people out of work.

It was done to socially distance them.

If they are not socially distancing, then get rid of the rules and get back to work.... Unfortunately this is a small subsection of the UK and forcing everyone back to work, because some people can't see that the rules and support is there to balance the situation, doesn't work in the best interests of the many.

Or so the thinking goes.
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.
