Happy Easter everyone!

Just lost my post so here goes again, by slightly abridged.

Missy woke up sick, but rallied very fast when she saw the Easter eggs. Didn't want breakfast, or eggs  and went back to bed.  hubby gave her medicine and she was back to her usual self.

Long after the medicine should have won off, she was still looking fine, so we went for a walk to bridal veil falls.. http://gorgeouswithattitude.blogspot.co.nz/2010/10/waireinga-bridal-veil-falls-raglan.html it's been so dry that there wasn't really much water gong over. It's a very easy walk along the river (10 mins) then a short walk down 200something steps. We weren't going to go down, not wanting to carry he kids back up, but they both insisted, so own we went. 55 meters down. And too their credit, they both walked up and not one grizzle. Master 2 was having o much fun he was upset when the stairs finished. But then he was walking so slowly even those with walking sticks were passing us.

Weka that looks stunning!!!! The first pic reminded me of Becky Falls up on Dartmoor - you might remember the pics I posted here last summer :D Then of course your pics got much more lush and exotic looking

I'm very glad you didn't have to carry the kids back up those steps

I remember those pics Kaz, and remember looking at them thinking that they looked like bridal veil falls.

Those were taken in the winter I think, the river is high than we saw today. I don't dare abuse free Internet by uploading my own, but its not as green at the moment, and not as much water.

Morning all. Wow Weka - that looks fantastic.

No real plans for us today.

The girls are off to an Easter egg hunt at 2pm. We usually go with them but aren't doing this year - the neighbours hosting it are the ones that ran Millie over. Mick refuses point blank to go but I will probably go along later at around 5pm in time to have a drink with them and pick the girls up. I would find it too difficult to sit and chit chat with him for the whole afternoon - if hitting Millie had slowed him down a little then I might feel differently but we (Millie and I) had to jump out of his way one day last week when he came belting down the lane.

I was going to start emptying the dining room ready to clean and decorate but Mick said that he still has a few messy jobs to do in the kitchen and it isn't worth it. I can't potter in the kitchen today - if I do any more baking we will burst! So I am going to potter around the house a while and then read my book. I might take a walk down into the village with Millie if her leg is okay (she limps alot after each walk and came home last night really hobbling). Mick is clearing out his shed so he can put the tools currently stored in the dining room away.

Good morning :D

I am doing nothing today.

Nada. Zilch. Nowt. Absolutely nothing.

I've had the maddest week of going out, eating, drinking, partying and parades.

As the Spanish don't do Easter eggs I bought Jacob and Conor a big bar of chocolate and have slipped a 20 euro note inside the wrapper.
Hope they notice otherwise they'll be rummaging in the bin!

Enjoy the day everyone.
