We are going out to a friends 60th birthday party later at the local hotel. It isn't far to walk - 5 minutes down hill and 10 minutes back home again - in normal weather!!!!

I am not looking forward to the trek there - I nipped outside earlier and the snow comes well over the top of my boots! I am going to have to find my waterproof trousers out I think.

I can't not go though - we are within walking distance and it would be awful to think that she had her party with hardly anyone there. And anyway, there will be loads of food! And alcohol!

LOL. No I sure won't.

And I can't find my waterproof trousers. I have an awful feeling that I left them at the stables last time I rode in the rain.

Never mind - jogging bottoms and leg warmers (S's) I think. Then I can strip down to my leggings and put my heeled boots on when I get there!

I'm back home already!

Mick didn't come as he felt "off it" so I wandered down on my own. There were lots of people there which was good. I stayed for a couple of drinks and then wandered home again - I'm still really tired from my two nights away (I can never sleep in hotels) so decided to come home early.

I didn't need bin bags or cling film (although I might secretly start using cling film on a daily basis - I wonder if it makes you look thinner) as I realised that once I got out onto the lane the snow wouldn't be as deep where it was compressed!

Its still snowing though.

At let you went for a while :D

It's still snowing here. It had stopped last night, I went to bed around 2am and it wasn't snowing but when I went to let the dog out this morning there was another inch or two on the back garden path which John had cleared yesterday and was still clear when I went to bed. It's been falling lightly all morning but has got heavier again in the last hour
