Nanook of the north would be right at home here! We're just down the road from WM and it's snowing fast and has settled overnight.
Son is digging the Ka out, he has to get to school to teach music at a Saturday morning club. Mrs C is having kittens and telling him not to go!

It's sort of "drizzling" light snow here, and has been all night and all morning so far. We've probably got 2-3" settled on the lawns, but not on our slab pathways, which are more or less clear. I'd think the temperature isn't that far below freezing because looking around the front, the snow is sliding off people's car windows.

You can't be much more than 15 miles from me Os...we've just been out with the dog and it was over my boots in places :o and it's still falling. John went down a ditch over the common and was up to his waist in it because of how it had drifted, and we've had to help the dog out of a few drifts that he got stuck in too.

I think that 15 miles makes quite a lot of difference, Jo .... the weather forecast maps consistently showed us on the "edge" of the snow front rather than in it. Plus the temperatures in a "city" are probably a degree or so higher than up the Chase .. :D

Yes, I know. It certainly does make a lot of difference, I know that on yesterday morning's forecast the area of snow seemed to cut off just north of the city, a friend who works on Holloway Head was surprised to hear that one of the tunnels was closed due to flooding from a thaw as she wasn't aware that there was enough snow in town for that.

We've got loads. I haven't ventured outside - other than sticking my head out the front door. We have well over a foot now and its still coming.

So far I have made muffins and biscuits. I am just about to start on a chicken and veg casserole for tonight and then put some bread on!

The cooking should keep you warm anyway, Debih!
Mrs C is out spending her birthday money, I'm back from doing the shopping. I think staying in for the rest of the day is looking likely.

Its still coming here! It is well over the top of my boots now - I had to venture out to the shed and was frozen when I got back.

I will have to walk into town tomorrow - I need bits and pieces and fancy an afternoon of jam making as I came across loads of frozen fruit in the freezer (from the allotment last year) but I have no sugar.

Well we even got snow here in the rainsoaked West Country!! It started just as we set off for Bristol at about 8.30am - huge soft flakes, but once past Dursley it turned to rain!!! The Severn is quite high but not at flood levels - yet  :?
