Morning all :D

It absolutely piddled down here all night, but is nice and dry at the moment. Hope it stays that way long enough for Mr.J to walk round for the papers. No sign of snow yet.........

Hope the MRI scan goes well for loz.

My old boss is popping over for coffee this afternoon. She got married while we were away so what with marriage talk and Barbados think we'll be busy nattering for ages

Hope you all stay warm and safe today :D

It's been p***ing down here since late yesterday afternoon and I'VE HAD ENOUGH    It's cold and extremely windy too  I ventured out to get the paper and also to put up our planning permission site notice (eeek!), and was clever enough to put on old jeans as I knew they would be soaked in the short walk from here to the paper shop and back, as indeed they were. We had planned to go to a shopping centre for a few bits today, but I am not moving out of the house again! I have enough to do to keep me occupied. Mr. Osc is being collected by one of his friends later, no golf but they will go to the golf club for a cuppa and a chat during the afternoon. Nice chicken dish is cooking away gently in the slow cooker for this evening. Good luck to Lozzles, and everyone, stay warm and dry and don't go out unless you absolutely have to :)

Good afternoon all.
It's flippin' horrible here although the snow has just been light all morning. There's around 2" fallen overnight and our estate leads off the main A34 to Stafford and a couple of miles further along it's closed, and has been all morning, because of snow. Quite odd really because the road is actually clear down here. There is a heavy wind though so maybe there're some bad drifts. It's taken me ages to walk back from town after the gym. The paths are really slushy and slippery and with the strong wind too you really have to work hard to keep upright :?
The school is closed but Tom wasn't going anyway as he has a nasty cold.

We had a great night out last night with John's work colleagues and the American visitors - and it was all free! We had a gorgeous meal - home made mushroom soup to start, roast beef and all of the trimmings followed by apple pie. That was followed up with a skittles match  It was so much fun!

Good luck today Loz!

It was Cromwell, we usually only all get together at Christmas for a night out and that's usually somewhere posh so you have to put on your best clothes and behave   I think they should stop with all of that palaver every December and do something more informal, like last night, instead.
