A friends house - think they're giving it away

I'm waiting to find out why they're selling.

It's nice Jan, but if they're aiming at a British buyer they'll have their work cut out. Nobody knows what British citizens rights will be in the EU, post-Brexit, and the pound has fallen so it's almost £1 = €1 :? So I would imagine people will be waiting to see how the dust settles.......

A 3 bed, double-garage corner plot bungalow in our avenue went on the market in February for £395,000. About £30k overpriced in most of our opinions; needless to say it didn't sell.

A different but absolutely identical bungalow went on sale through the same estate agent a month or so back for £350,000 - and had the Sold sign up pretty rapidly!

Interestingly, at the same time, a Sold sign went up on the first bungalow as well. I shall be very interested to see on Zoopla in due course exactly what it did go for ….. :D

Needless to say, we're now getting multiple flyers through the door: "We Have Buyers Ready and Willing for Houses in Your Area"
But it's also interesting to note that if these two bungalows did go through in the £350-£360k range, then house prices in our area are extremely static, or possibly even going backwards ......

They're Portuguese Kaz and will probably sell to Portuguese. Too big for the furriners, unless they want to try and do rentals - and there are a lot around here now.

Ah right, the details being written in English made me think they were after an English buyer.

Ossie, we have had two houses for sale very close to ours, for many months! They are asking too much, pure and simple :?

That's very nice! Shame you're losing nice neighbours though, and not the ones with the noisy dogs :o
