Meanwhile the pollsters contine to poll

Postby Suff » 01 Aug 2019, 20:02

And the Irish central Bank are issuing warnings that if the UK leaves with a No Deal scenario, 100,000 jobs will be lost over the next decade with the first 35,000 or so in the first 3 years.

To put that into perspective of the UK, that is the equivalent of half a million jobs lost in the first 3 years and 1.4 million jobs lost over a decade.

A sobering thought. The Irish PM should be more worried about that than pleasing his EU "Friends". But that's up to him.

The latest Comres poll analysis shows that the only way Bojo can win a majority is to take the UK out with No Deal and then force an election immediately after. Where he will win with a 7% margin and have an overall majority in Parliament and 5 years to sort the mess out. And 5 years to "punish" his Remainer rebels.

Isn't it an interesting world today...

And that, dear friends, is what hardline Brexiteers call a "benefit" of Brexit - 1.4 million job loses!

Also: from ComRes© / Sunday Express.

Con 28% +3
Lab 27% -1
LD 19% +2
Brex 16% -3
Others 10%

* If the parties were to achieve these vote shares at a General Election it would result in Conservatives being the largest party but 48 seats short of a majority (Con 278, Lab 255, LD 54, SNP 36, Brex 5, PC 3, Grn 1 source: http://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk

So, a majority to do SFA... not even with the Faragista racists!

No, actually that is a Brexiteers showing how the EU works. Working through a country that has a huge amount to lose in order to try and block the UK from getting what it voted for.

Does the EU care that so many Irish jobs will be lost if they continue on this path? Does the Irish Government? Do the Irish people even understand?

This is not a benefit of Brexit, this is a catastrophe in the making and the architects sit in Brussels, well protected, whilst their "useful idiots" sell themselves down the river.

That is why the UK must leave the EU, now, before it is too late. Because this is what the EU is and anyone who believes differently is fooling themselves.

I know you do not agree Kaz, but consider the difference.

I live in the extended EU.
I have worked most of my adult working life under cross EU working rules.
I actually read the press in other EU countries
I read the EU treaties and EU publications and opinions.

You, on the other hand, have an opinion that the EU is good for the UK and we should not leave.

I could say "back atcha". But you really wouldn't believe me.

So why is the government itself spending millions on preparing us for hardship? For the fun of it?

Sorry Suff, but you use lies, spin, deceit, deflection and straw men to brow-beat and bully everyone who disagrees with your views into submission - it is your way or the highway.

You appear to hate the EU with an evangelical zeal to the point where provable points, well made, and which are there in black and white are dismissed out of hand. Even the very few you might grudgingly admit have some merits are then qualified with a long-winded "ah but".

The only real option to deal with such attitudes is to - "Disengage!".
