It would be warmer in the Algarve Jo, and even the west coast too. We're inland by a good hours drive from both coasts.

But we get hotter in the summer

Wow! That really knocked me for six. It has been the worst I have felt for many a long while.

It was not flu as my temp was below 39ºC (102ºF) but it left me shattered. Today is the first day since Monday that I have been up and about for any length of time.... and eating. Thankfully a kind neighbour (school nurse) brought me in some sachets of Complan and co-codamol to help me out.

I urge any of you, if this hits you must seek out help. Try the pharmacy first, it is what nursey did for me.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Frank - hopefully it's onwards and upwards now. Times like this, living on your own is definitely a bit of a disadvantage, but I'm glad your neighbour helped you out and got you some stuff.

Stay warm and take it easy until you're much much better x

I went shopping today and got two bedside cabinets from a charity shop, two hundred self-tapping screws and a countersink drill bit from Screwfix.

Decorating here I come.
