Well, I can guarantee that we will have tons of snow next week.

I have just washed the girls snow suits and put them over the bannister to dry before packing them away until next winter!

I only thought about washing my padded jacket last week and we got snow this week - better go and stock up on bread mixes and tinned food if you've actually gone through with washing them

Bicycle clips - creepies crawling up her legs????? Eek  :?

Kaz it's lovely of both you and Osc to worry, but honest I'm not overdoing anything, the hairdresser is just at the top of the road ;) At the moment I don't 'have' anything either, I felt rotten last night, and not brilliant this morning but after the two doses of vits and paracetamols I'm feeling much better, still a bit feverish but not awful. Definitely 'something' I'm fighting off but hopefully might never know what! I do know what the 'flu is and how awful it can be, I was one of those voices telling you and Osc to take it easy! - I last had it about ten years ago but remember it well :D And I promise I have nothing else planned beyond lolling about and then at some point making dinner ;)

As for crawling up legs, well yes, 'fraid so - even here in the Forest you're really supposed to wear long trousers tucked into socks. Apart from the odd adder, there's the risk of Lyme disease from ticks, which is pretty nasty. Once something gets into your trousers it's quite hard to get it out without it biting/stinging/attaching itself ;)
I hate to say it because I'm sure they're lovely, but does linen sound practical for a jungle? - are they going to be squashed into a backpack?

Yes because they are a lightweight linen/cotton mix..........that was recommended. I don't think B will worry about a few creases. Anything heavier weight would be unbearable in that humidity :) I didn't buy them for looks ;) She has proper hiking boots, suitable for jungle wear, proper socks, long sleeved light cotton shirts to keep her arms covered, etc :) They gave us a huge long kit list............. :o :D

Bicycle clips aren't on the kit list but it can't hurt I guess  ;)

Oh yes I imagined there was a list Kaz - it was the linen bit that suddenly struck me, I'm sure they'll be just the job :)
I know the bicycle clips sound silly, I was thinking of the cameraman friend of the ex, he always packed elastic (like we used at school to keep our socks up!) but then maybe he just didn't like tucking his trousers into his socks

Btw Miss, all I've done this afternoon is make two cups of tea, read a bit of my book and have a kip ;)
