Tuesdays Tea!

Postby debih » 12 Mar 2013, 15:30

We are having sossidges, yorkshire puds, mashed potato, carrots and beans.

In fact, I really ought to get off my fat backside and go and peel some tatties.

I presume they are low-fat "sossidges" , in view of your self-descibed "fat backside" ?

We're having pir-piri chicken, either oven chips or new potatoes, and salad - despite the weather, like Kaz yesterday I fancy it :)

A nice piece of cod with mashed potatoes and peas. Then a piece of custard pie with plenty of nutmeg on top. And probably two glasses of red wine.

Pasta with cheesy bolognese sauce, baked in the oven with even more cheese on top. That's what the men are having anyway. I'm having a jacket spud.

That sounds gorgeous. The girls and I love pasta but Mick loathes it. He will eat it with meat - so spaghetti with bolognaise or lasagne.

My absolute favourite meal is plain spaghetti cooked al dente with a shaving of parmesan and a glug of decent extra virgin olive oil over it. Nothing else - well, maybe some nice ciabatta or focacia.

I can just imagine Mick's face if I served him that up for his dinner!

  It's me in our house who doesn't like pasta!
Dead easy, just chunks of cheese mixed in with everything else

Back in the early 70s my uncle used to cook us (myself and some cousins) spaghetti as a treat on a Sunday night when we visited, with parmesan on top - it was dead exotic back in 1972
