Whats your weather like?

Postby debih » 11 Mar 2013, 16:17

Its blowing an absolute gale here. It's quite scary when the wind really picks up.

It has been snowing on and off all day - although I think it looks worse than it is because of the wind. It had settled this morning when I got up but the roads are all clear now - just snow on the hills.

It is really, really cold. L is off on her residential activity thing with school on Wednesday until Friday. I have just been filling her bag up with thermals!!

Beautiful bright sunshine but very cold in the wind, much colder than I thought it would be  I went into town and thought I'd walk, but didn't get far before I gave in and got on a bus

We've even had a few tiny flurries of snow, but they soon blew over :?

I am in the sunny south east and it is blowing a gale and bitterly cold
The temperature in the car was minus 1 :(
The dustbins were emptied this morning and those that have`nt been taken
in are all over the place where the wind has blown them over.
I went out and got supplies in for the next couple of days just incase it gets
worse---brisket, veg, milk, bread, wine and a bottle of scotch and lagers
That should keep us going.

(you understand i hope that the whisky is purely medicinal incase we get poorly)

Brilliant here, bikini weather, well not for me, obviously.

According to the weather site the comfort level is -10C.

It really is bitterly cold in the wind, but this is March in the UK. C'est la...

I reckon that we will have a cracking summer. :)

It's been really arctic weather all day, started early with snow blizzards and it hasn't stopped for long. There's not much lying as it's been fine, dry snow and the wind's so strong it's blowing it around. Actually the wind's so strong I had to fight to get the back door open!
Minnie has a bucket of water outside, filled from the butt; she's just been out for a drink and about the top 2" were frozen solid - it was only slushy at about 4 o'clock. It's got colder and colder, and it was blinking cold to start with
Bb was on the Isle of Wight this morning; the bits he went to, he said were about the same as here, but apparently the far eastern side has been really dreadful, schools closed, roads closed, and at least a dozen accidents.

Tomorrow I think is meant to be at least as cold but no more snow.
