transtympanic injection

Postby Lozzles » 27 Feb 2013, 17:41

Well I spent most of the day at the hospital before going into theatre. The injection into my ear drum was fine, though it felt a bit weird. I'm not expecting much to come from it, but I am coming to terms with that. The consultant was absolutely smashing though :D

Sorry Loz didn't know this was today.
Glad it wasn't too unpleasant, it does sound weird! A nice consultant always helps

Not only was he easy on the eye, but he was kind and informative and very honest with me.
I have been holding it together since this all started, but I'm feeling a little blue now as I know this is the last chance to gain any hearing back and it probably won't work. I did discuss this with the consultant and he thought it was worth a try anyway. But, there will be something to help further down the line, but it will probably be a bone anchored hearing aid of some sort, so not the end of the world :D

The thing is Loz, you always hope against hope it is human nature. I think you have done marvellously and there will always be bad times. I don't need to tell you just roll with them, and see what tomorrow brings.

Aw Lozzles, I didn't know about this.

I am so glad it was not painful or traumatic and I will keep all sorts of things crossed that it works. :D
