Ethel And Ernest

Really loving this, the story of Raymond Briggs' parents. I have the book and have always loved it. I saw a while ago that it was being adapted for TV so I've been really looking forward to seeing it.

I really enjoyed it too.

Wouldn't it be good if everything on TV was in that format?

The best TV of the whole Christmas period :)

I cried at the ending.

So did I.

I've actually looked the book out to read again before I go back to work.

It was lovely the type of film where you can relax with a cuppa in peace and quiet

Watched it again last night, I'd recorded it for John as he was in Wales so he stuck it on as soon as he got back.

Thankyou all so much for putting me on to this film.
We watched it last night and it was truly magical.
We both loved it as we are at the age we can remember
the gas masks, doodlebugs, and being evacuated.
