Jo I would love to do that one year, maybe persuade my sister and her tribe to join us. Would have to be a big cottage though

Love this thread! :)

This is our 14th Christmas in Spain and loved every one of them.

But.....in Nottingham two weeks ago Craig (ever so casually) asked if we fancied spending Christmas with them next year. (They are in Cape Town now visiting Lani's family which they do every two years.)

And never, ever having fancied being in the UK at Christmas Don and I are seriously thinking about perhaps doing so next year. 8-)

Jo that is something worth planning and saving for, it's fab at Christmas, we were there for Christmas in 2008. Although I suspect the boys would be keen to go too

We've had a lovely day, our usual Christmas Eve trip into town. Nothing is ever planned, we just go with the flow. We were hardly off the train when we bumped into a golfing friend of Mr Osc's, then we met my sister in the first shop we went into. After that we went off to the place where Miss Osc and her family always go on Christmas Eve, they were still there, so we had a cuppa and a chat before we headed our separate ways. We went of to TK Maxx to get some baking tins, while there some friends phoned to say they were in a particular bar so we joined them and had great fun for a couple of hours, we had something to eat there too. Home just before 6pm. Going to watch a programme about Alan Bennett, followed by The Lady in the Van.
