Submarine May.

Having lost the Labour/Corbyn thingy the media is on the prowl for another crusade... Step forward some "Sirship" who nobody outside the bubble has ever heard of.

"Sir!" was part of spineless man's communications team and was rewarded for doing his well paid job when Camoron ran away. He has written a book and says that May 'torpedoed' the dead-man-walking PM: really?

In order to win the last election Cameron went all populist and offered us an In/Out referendum on the EU even though it was not needed, politically. Just after he won he then announced that her would not run for a third term as PM - how prophetic was that?

Roll forward to the referendum campaign and Cameron is having trouble with the Tory factions. He has to do a 'U' turn on his previous stance and allow Ministers, MPs, Councillors and any old Tom, Dick or Harry to campaign whichever way they wanted. Some came out in favour of Leave, especially BoJo who saw it as a chance to raise his profile, but it backfired as he never actually wanted to leave (allegedly). Others, including the PM, came out for Remain. May never actually came out for either side, initially, but was, apparently, forced to reluctantly support Remain, according to Sir's! book. Step in the media to attack May.

The problem for the media, and I expect May's side to come out fighting, was that support for Remain or Leave was not as binary as they make out. Many people were 'Don't Knows', though I expect May was not one. Others were 'Not that Bothereds' or 'Couldn't care lesses'. May could have been anywhere on the spectrum of opinions outside the vote Remain or Leave camps and she had every legal right to be so.

This new episode looks as though Cameron has let loose his Dogs of War to attack May because he does not have the cojones to do it himself. I am hoping that he media has backed the wrong horse again.

Already supporters are proving that she did engage and was supportive. I'm sure the press will continue to have a go and that Cameron supporters will continue to chafe.

This vote has been like the Independence vote in Scotland. Whilst elections and other political shenanigans have often divided families, the debate is usually quite restrained, at least until drink is taken.

The Indyref in Scotland brought out some pretty nasty behaviour in the leave campaign, but this is absolutely nothing to the invective and sheer bile which the remain campaign has boiled over with since losing. Honestly I'd have put this kind of reaction firmly in the barking mad far right or far left.

This kind of stuff is going to go on for a generation and won't even begin to calm down until after A50 is triggered and won't start to die down until the final separation is done and we're out.

I just ignore most of it.

I do too.

I just found it interesting that the pathetic media, finding itself on the wrong side of the Corbyn thing and, good grief, having to go with the result, looked round for another target and found one in Theresa May - via one of Dave's cronies' drivel.

Well it is interesting that, for almost the first time since 2010, the press has found it could support Cameron.

Perhaps the EUphile press might look back and realise that, by hammering Cameron at every single turn, lying about him and making up total fairy stories about him; they put themselves in a total no win situation with the public when they needed to support Cameron..

There's not point in bitching and back biting now. They have done what they have done and now can repent at their leisure...

Where is my RONTFLMAO emoticon....
