Good morning all!

Today we start on Tom's room. In true Tom style though he's done nothing to prepare for it (eg empty the old wardrobe) so we need to a) wait for him to get up and b) empty the wardrobe. Joe's volunteered to help build things up. His room was finished at 7.30pm last night and looks great, it looks lighter, more grown up and bigger.

I also need to visit my parents, pop to Tesco for a few things and then it's round 2 of concerts tonight, this time I'm going with Tom to see Kaiser Chiefs up the Chase. So excited, really love Kaiser Chiefs and they're so good live! Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott were great last night, only criticism is that it they played a lot of songs from their latest album which a lot of people didn't know and the atmosphere fell flat each time. We bumped into a fella who works with John who is a huge Paul and Jacqui fan. We'd seen him and his wife at one of their shows a couple of years ago and they were buzzing because they'd just bumped into Jacqui on the way to the show, she'd asked if they knew the nearest coffee shop so they'd walked with her to one. Anyway, they'd only bumped into her again in the middle of the Chase last night, and they got another really lovely photo with her

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Ally that all sounds great, have a lovely day, and I hope Joanie is in good form xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jo, the boys 'new' rooms sound great :) Now I do envy you the Kaiser Chiefs, I like them!!!!! Have a great time :D

Well the heavens just opened here, yet more rain!! No idea where all the water comes from here   Food shopping on the cards for us, then relaxing later. Talking of food shopping, we nipped into Sainsbury's yesterday for some milk and came out with a new 43" smart TV :o  Mick has wanted one for ages, and Harry is a very happy lad as he gets the old 40" one in his room   At least now he can watch the footie and tennis in there :P  We did NOT want such a huge telly in our bedroom, our small portable is perfectly adequate, B is away and hardly watches telly anyway, she uses her devices for stuff, so H's room seemed the best place to put it

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here again 8-)

Just the utility to paint today and then we'll be moving all the furniture from the spare bedroom out into the extension so they can start boarding the ceiling tomorrow. We feel like gypsies being moved from pillar to post at the moment

No other plans, will see how the day turns out.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Moring everyone

Been out in the garden since 7.00   making another "oasis" for some plants in the dry grass 8-) 8-) Oh and it's not too hot, so after brekkie, we'll carry on.

Grumpy is making another couple of spaces, ready for a lovely pink hibiscus and the potato plant we bought and I've been doing yet more weeding - I really should wear gloves, I'm ripped and stabbed to bits again

Have a great time Jo, not     at all

GP and footie later - Força Portugal!!!!

Havea good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Kaz, we downgraded Joe's TV yesterday. He had a 40", our old one, on a cupboard in his room but hardly used it and his XBox was connected to a portable which used to be Tom's. That was on his desk but with changing everything around and him now having just one unit for all of that stuff it wouldn't all fit properly so we saw a nice 32" in Currys and picked that up for him. It's not a smart TV but he's got his XBox connected to it and he's got an Amazon Firestick too so can watch what he needs.
Bet Harry's very pleased! :D

Ally, you're in for a treat! This will be my third time seeing them, they're SO good!!!

We walked Billy for an hour but woke Tom before we went and asked him to start emptying his wardrobe so that we could make a start when we got back (he'd also been asked to get up earlier last night and said he would). We were back at 10, Joe had built some drawers up while we were gone and Tom was still sleeping. Woke him again, went downstairs to put the coffee maker on and I could hear him moving around so I took him a mug of coffee...and found him sitting with his iPad in living room. Now, at 11.30, he just finished emptying it  but we were hoping to start 90 mins ago so I have to keep counting to 10....

We've had enough

That's one big area cleared and now planted - the bigger plants had to be moved in a wheel-barrow  - and the other two plants are now in and watered.

I've done three barrow loads of weeds from down the drive. My backs aches and I'm leaking. So a quick shower and then settle down for the sporting action.
