Guy tried to race me from the pedestrian lights after Cramond Brig this morning.... In hid Diesel Audi. I didn't even know what he was doing until I heard the engine roaring and realised he wasn't moving behind me.

Happy birthday to your m-I-l, Ally. She was born in a very good year - 1924, the same as me.
It's a good start to the day here. The gardens do look nice and fresh after last night's rain. "Summer is acomin' in".

I've just been glancing through the morning paper - followed by a walk round the garden to cool off.
Regarding the forthcoming referendum, some of the scare stories these politicians are uttering make
me feel so angry. "Leaving the E.U. could cost the average pensioner £32,000", said Osborne. Now he
admits that their pension would actually be protected. I honestly think that such underhand behaviour
should be made a criminal offence.

Evening
I've had a lovely day
Friends are staying near Poole for a few days and came for coffee this morning.
We didn't want to plan anything as L is not terribly well, however she's been doing ok this week so we all went to the pub down the lane for lunch and sat in their lovely garden for a couple of hours

Then this evening friend D's son phoned. We missed his wedding in May but he and wife are on a belated honeymoon at D's house at Barton and are coming tomorrow, so we'll be going out into the Forest and lunch again
