Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here at the moment.

Foundations and drainage are all done and they'll be starting on the brick work as soon as the delivery arrives. Will be nice to see it starting to take shape. It's not too bad while they're outside on the extension, but it's going to be chaos when they get in here as the whole bungalow is being stripped and redecorated. New ceilings, doors skirting, the lot!! I know it will all look lovely when it's finished, but that's not likely to be much before the end of August.

Planning a stroll along the seafront to the harbour today and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning Ally, Morning Jen :D

That's a nice sleep Ally. I usually have about 7 hours during the week so anything on the 9 hour mark over the weekend is bliss
Jen, obviously it would be a cost issue, but could you look at hiring a short term holiday rental whilst the worst of the work is being done at your house.

I had a lovely lovely weekend pottering about in the garden; just a few more things to be done, so managed to wangle tomorrow as a day off - yay.
Other than that a usual work day for me and lovely nice quiet evening at home. I swear I'm becoming a hermit crab

Have a lovely day all

Good morning my friends.

It's a lovely sunny morning here, but with a cooking wind.

We've nothing planned for today, so I might do a bit of pottering in the garden.

Hope you are all well and have a lovely day.

Morning all, another nice day here. My brother is on the way home to Cork, I think he enjoyed the family weekend. Mr Osc has an appointment with the doc at 12.30 so we will head off shortly. After that we may or may not go shopping. Tonight we will catch up on recorded stuff. Have a good day everyone :)

Afternoon everyone

Gorgeously hot day :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

No internet again this morning   but we've been out and ordered a new mattress for our bed and found small market in Ourique, so have bought a lime tree and more tomato plants :D :D

Work on the pool continues - at least all of mine is outside Jen 8-) That's a good idea, if you could go away for when the worst is being done.

Hope the doc's goes well Osc xx

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone xx

Hi everyone - I'm off today rather than Thursday so everything feels a bit different! Going to struggle with my weekly routine, but hey ho....

Gorgeous this morning, I wasted some time having a lie in first thing, then wnet out and had a mooch round some garden centres, I came back with a Bleeding Heart :D :D Will spur me to plant it shortly...

I heard last week that an old pal from way back had had a heart attack.....he sadly died on Wednesday. He was the same age as me, it jolts you a bit when you realise this....it's his funeral on Friday so I will be able to go (normal day off). So sad.

Have a lovely Monday all xxx

Afternoon everyone :)

Well we had a brilliant time, and I'll make a separate post about it all rather than clog up the morning thread ;) I did try to pop in while we were away but VV wouldn't load, although Facebook did  :) Still, I've been reading and catching up, and it seems things have jogged along nicely :D Thanks to Ally and Gal for holding the fort :)

I've unpacked and filled the washing machine, and we popped round to see D and make sure she's ok. We sat in the garden with a cuppa as it is yet another stunning day down here in West Country. You really can't beat it when the sun shines 8-) ;) Becky left to go and visit her dad for a few days (she's using up holiday from Osprey before she leaves in a few weeks time) so we won't see her until next weekend, but all was well here. Very clean and tidy and the dogs were ecstatic to see us

It's nice to be back 8-) :) xxxx
