That's us skint

Postby tonicha » 13 Apr 2016, 16:52

Just ordered the pool :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Costing a little more than we thought, but he's going to do everything, as in the tiling, which Grumpy thought he might do, the same tiles as we have around the house too :D :D the shower, a couple of small walls for privacy and also the pump room and all that entails. The digging out is a mammoth task too.

Will be starting in a few weeks and should take about 6 ish weeks to complete, so at least we'll be able to swim this summer :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

So what with the extra we're paying for the kitchen and now this, we'll be skint.

No more dinners out   apart from every now and then, rather than every week

8 x 4 Ally, with the steps going into it as extra.

Has to be side of the house, due to the cables for solar and also has to be a minimum 15 metres away from any neighbour.

We're seeing our solicitor on Friday, to sort out the legalities and permissions,.

We're having a salt water pool, which does cost a little more, but that helps with any bods (like me) who are asthmatic.

And the bombeiros will fill the pool and we pay them - or we may just fill it up with our own water, depends on how full the bore hole is.

This is going to change the whole outlook of our house :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:   :D :D

How exciting Ton, know what you mean about being skint though, after all our renovations we'll be having to tighten our belts too.

8 x 4 is a good size for you two plus visitors. :D

We have a 12 by 10....but only because that was specially requested by the daughter of the previous owner. She was in the university swimming squad!

I've got wonderful memories of our kids spending summers in the pool with their friends and I bet your grandsons will love it when they come over. :cute: xx

Berlimey Ally - that's huge

One of our friends have a 10 x 5 and they moan about keeping it warm so we told them to leave the hose pipe out, in the sun, and to use that, to top the water up.

Dafty things hadn't thought of it
