Isn't it a shock ...

Postby Workingman » 10 Apr 2016, 12:52

... when you find an opened jar of something in the fridge and you do not know how long it's been there? So, you open it to have sniff ...

I am going to invest in some of those easy-peel labels to write dates on.

Mine was Satay sauce from sometime in November 2015.

It had a dome of fur on the top and a fragrance out of this world. :o

Mine was pesto from August, discovered on Friday

Whereas the mint sauce from the year before was just fine :D
Although I have since replaced it ;)
They should say, 'You really don't want to be using this after 4 weeks'
Or 'Actually this is fine for about a year if you're not fussy'
