Evening all, we have had a nice family day - Miss Osc and SIL were going to a first anniversary mass for his BIL in Wicklow so they dropped the children off just after 10am, and arrived back here for their dinner just after 3pm. My sister was here too and we had a lovely meal, traditional roast lamb, with prawns in garlic and chilli for Miss Osc. All morning we had the tv on watching the ceremonies commemorating the 1916 Rising. It was all really well done in glorious sunshine, and a lot of it was quite moving. Today was the "official" day and tomorrow is the family day with lots of events taking place city-wide, so if the weather is ok, we will probably head off into town and have a wander around. Hope everyone had as nice a day as we did :)

Morning Monday everyone
Last night we sat around the brazier and burned some more of our old deck. The far neighbors left off some firecrackers and our dear neighbour looked out the winds and saw flames in our place so tried to ring us, which we didn't hear. So ended up climbing a ladder to get a proper look over to fence to decide what to do.
She saw us and saw all was ok. We invited her over, but it was past her bedtime Oops. . She's 86 and we love her to pieces.

We got most of the coop repaired yesterday. Still a bit to do today, and a few modifications to make it easier for neighbour to feed them while we are away.

I've put lots of things for sale on Trademe. The garage is now empty enough to get the bikes in there. G's fixed the door (sort of) so it at least opens and closes. Will possibly need to replace it soon.

The other half of the laundry is getting clearer too which is good as this will be my stock room for the business soon.

And we are making inroads into the junk room, otherwise known as the den. I want to set this up as the second reception/guest room.

Busy busy. Not what we had planned for Easter, but it feels so good clearing up, fixing and sorting that we are quite happy.

More the same today.
Everything happens for a reason
