I tried the avatar thingee and reduced the size of pic to 120 pixels, but it still doesn't work. Grrr.

The shrink site was having a few probs earlier - give it half an hour or so and have another go - or email one of us your photo and we can do it for you

Hence the reason why I posted in great detail how to save, resize and upload an avatar made from a photo.

Because if you can do it for yourself, then you are not hostage to free sites which may, or may not, work.

Computing and the Internet 101. If you can do it yourself, do, if you can't then use one of the free services to do it for you.
