Morning Ally, morning all

a much clearer start to the day here this morning; the past two mornings have been really misty that took ages lift. Don't think we'll get much in the way of sunshine but hey, it's dry!

Planning on pottering about in the garden today and probably head over to Karl and Nadine at some point to say hi but that's about it

have a lovely day everyone whatever it is you're up to x

Morning :)
And a lovely one it is too, albeit cold :)
Have towels in the wash and planning on actually hanging them outside, for the first time this year :Hi:
And high pressure forecast for the whole week :Hi:

I did one item yesterday, my dry-clean only, 100% alpaca scarf, that washed and dried beautifully :)
We have a friend coming for dinner tonight, just the one, so not too much food involved and planning leftovers anyway ;)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We're off out to lunch with the couples group today http://www.botanybayhotel.co.uk/ it's where we have our evening get together and they do a nice carvery on Sunday so we thought we would check it out. Think there will be 10 couples so we'll be a lively crowd  If the weather stays like this we'll probably have a stroll along the beach afterwards, Botany Bay is rated one of the best beaches in England, it's stunning. Even better it's only 10mins from us by car.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone

A lovely morning here 8-)

Grumpy will be cleaning windows and I'll be painting the frame on a mirror we bought - it was trying to be "distressed blue" but done rather badly, so it's now going to be silver

And maybe a little bit of gentle weeding, with my right hand only

Favas for dinner, with a vinho verde.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

It's a stunning morning here, sunny and very warm! :D :D :D I'm about to strip the bed and get the sheets out on the line Di, not something I generally do on a Sunday but I can't let this sunshine go to waste, can I? ;) :D 8-) It's amazing what can be carefully hand washed, or even machine washed on the hand wash cycle - I tend to ignore dry clean only labels for most things apart from wool suits and coats ;) :D

Ton, good idea with the mirror - I mean there is distressed, and there is distressed.....;)

Jen, enjoy your meal out, sounds lots of fun :D

Happy pottering Ria :D You too, Ally :D

Off to Morrisons's soon. I am still having horrible trouble with my sinuses and feeling pretty rough actually, lots of pain in my face and a bit of a temperature too, but the sunshine is really cheering me up ;)

Have a great day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, dull here but pleasant all the same. We are going out this evening to a big country music concert, Country 2 Country, been looking forward to it for ages. http://www.c2c-countrytocountry.com it is also on in Glasgow and London this weekend with the artists rotating between the different cities. We will be seeing Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town, plus Sam Hunt and Maddie and Tae. Friends were at it last night, saw different performers and had a fab time. It will be a long enough evening with the first act on at 5.30, and the show finishing around 11pm, so we had better pack some sandwiches  It will be great to see some American country music, so much better than the country and Irish stuff we get here.

Otherwise just pottering around before we go out, going to use public transport. Have a good day everyone :D

Good afternoon, all. It's been a lovely sunny morning here,
and we've had our usual Sunday walk into town.
I might have a session in the garden this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good day.

Evening all - sorry been AWOL since Friday....Lewis had a sleepover on Friday and then after I got back from work yesterday he came again for a couple of hours and then come last night we were both soooo tired T and I flaked out on the sofa after our weekly Chinese takeaway, we were i bed at 10!!

I am working an extra day this coming week....seemingly we'll be short staffed, extra so with Jan being off all week again (she text me to say the funeral would be this coming Friday...and thanked me for the flowers and card, she's really struggling bless her) I am doing this Friday extra, and I have Lily on Thursday so looks like being a full on week!! Typically Tom's got three days annual leave, Mon till Wed, he's going to the races on Tuesday and is off Wed as a hangover day LOLOL....tomorrow is an added extra for something else he planned but isn't going ahead now.....those three days I am working  :( So today in the sunshine, we went to the beach and had coffee and a cheeseburger 8-)

I had a lovely surprise on Friday, I went on FB Messenger to reply to a message from a friend, and there in my inbox was a message from my old school pal who I haven't seen in years.....more than 20 I think!! :D :D Caroline and I go back to our infant school days.....she lives about an hours' drive from me now so we are hoping to arrange a meet up soon....I'm thrilled as I tried messaging her through her daughter a year or two back but didn't get very far, but now she's on FB herself and has found me :D :D :D :D :D :D

Enjoy the rest of the weekend xxxx
