Another beautiful day forecast.

A run for me after my coffee then.....I'm being a brave girl and boldly going forth with Don kettle shopping!

Our kettle passed away quietly yesterday morning so the deed needs to be done.

Given my fear of big stores/white goods/man who likes shopping I am prepared!

Yes folks. I googled!

I am armoured with the knowledge of which store we are going to, which nice black kettle I want so 'the man who likes to shop' will now be faced with a decision making woman as opposed to one who sulks round the shops!

I'll take him out for lunch to ease the pain.

Morning Ally - have 'fun' kettle shopping I bought a new kettle the other week, another red one to go with my kitchen as the old one started leaking, but I bought it from Amazon and didn't realise how huuuuuuge it would be, as it's a filter kettle Serves me right for not checking the capacity! I'm using it of course, but it annoys me as it looks far too big next to the toaster and coffee jug

Morning all It's bitter cold here, frosty in fact, but beautifully sunny so it's all good I'll be out later, playing with my new myfitnesspal app by tracking my walk I did well yesterday, what with two 40 minute walks and my zumba class Apart from a walk out and a few bits of ironing to do, it should be a quiet day - zumba for me and Becks this evening

Bright, sunny and frosty here.

Good luck with the kettle shopping Ally. Unlike you I absolutely love looking around shops, especially when I have money to spend, so would be in my element

Off out for coffee with the ladies and, if the weather holds up, a lovely walk along the seafront this morning. More like a hobble really, my ankle is still playing up. It's been sore for a few weeks now, getting really fed up with it!!

Ally, would it not make sense to drop off Don at the entrance to the shop with instructions on what to get whilst you then find a nice quiet café, order a coffee and then wait for him

Thankfully the day my kettle goes, I know exactly which one I'll get as I'll be replacing like for like. Mine is a quiet boil and I love it (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Russell-Hobbs-2 ... oil+kettle) If it has a limescale build up then it starts getting loud.

Beautiful sunny and very nippy / icy start to the day, meant to be clouding over a bit later. Usual work day for me and then usual evening at home. Was out with some friends for after work drinks yesterday which was lovely but I'm looking forward to being home on the sofa tonight

Rather grey and quite cold here this morning - well, this is the Alentejo, as opposed to the Algarve

Off to spend money too this morning, sadly, our solicitors bill needs paying But I will be paying a visit to the lecky shop, to see what sort of stuff they have in there, and the prices.

Shopping after that and I want to buy Fatima from the library a little thank you pressie, as she was so kind the other day, ringing edp for me, when they couldn't, or more likely, wouldn't, understand my Portuguese

Yes Ria, I could give Don instructions to just go in and buy the kettle I have my eye on...but trust me. It would be impossible for him to go in, go straight to said kettle and purchase.

He gets sidetracked.

If I waited in a cafe for him they'd be sweeping up round me at midnight.

Morning all, another lovely sunny, crisp, cold day - I was able to put washing out yesterday for the first time in literally months. Off to Lidl in a while and I also need to go to the nearest Boots to change cream I bought last week, wanted night cream, bought day cream Going dancing tonight I think. Have a good day everyone

Bright, cold, crisp day ... and just now, a black cat has been happily digging up all our winter pansies in the big tub to create a soil space to do its business .....

Cat repellant has now gone on the shopping list .....
