Marston Green, Birmingham.

Lovely quiet area....it matters not where you live. If they want to steal they'll find a way. :(

yes, definitely get the locks changed

and then cynic that I am - was any of the care staff new? Just wondering if one of them may have accidentally 'on purpose' left the front door either unlocked or not closed it properly. Most UK front doors, once closed need a key to open so it's quite random for anyone to just be able to walk in

The locks have all been changed and the insurance company are delivering a replacement car this afternoon as she just cannot be without transport.

No new staff as such Ria...most of the carers and nurses have been tending to Mart for a long time now.

The police think the house had probably been watched..it's a quiet cul de sac with lots of big trees and when it's dark with all the curtains closed you don't know who is spying outside. :?

Update: new car has been delivered. The insurance company have said if her car's not found in 21 days they'll organise a new one.

Thanks for the good wishes for Jackie.

Absolutely despicable, Ally - scumbag is an appropriate description for whoever did it.

Glad that the insurance company is proving helpful.

Wowzer, that is absolutely excellent service - well done that insurance. We all too often just complain about them but it's fantastic to see that whoever their insurance is has really stepped up to the plate on this one - wow!

Ar5eholes!

Bad enough being burgled whilst out, but to have someone come in when you are there.....!!!

However, well done to the insurance for the quick work with the locks and car.
