Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 28 Dec 2015, 04:55

Good morning. :)

Up at sparrow o'clock as I woke myself up laughing! :x

Don & I are off for a cheeky wee day and night in Torre del Mar and will head off about 9am. :D

It's a lovely place on the coast about an hours drive from here so plenty walking, eating and partaking of a beverage will be in order. 8-) 8-)

The two boys are going to a party in Torremolinos tonight. :? :?

Enjoy the day everyone and I'll see you tomorrow. x

Good morning Monday

Postby Weka » 28 Dec 2015, 07:07

That's the way to wake up Ally!!

We woke up to Oliver saying "hey dad!!" At 4am, only to go in and discover he was sound asleep and he was dreaming.

We took Sasha back to the doctor today for her 10 day checkup, and she's back on antibiotics. So, no, we're not going on holiday tomorrow. Maybe in a weeks time?? Will need another checkup to tell. We were suppose to have left on Boxing Day and we were going with my SIL and BIL. They really don't cope with plans changing so I can only imagine what they are saying at the moment. Where we go is an hour drive over a mountain range to the nearest doctor. Their son had this done on the 30th nov, and bounced back (he's 3) and was at kindy after 10 days, so when we said at Christmas we were not sure if we would make it, they were starting to make comments then like we were over reacting. Sigh. Enough said.

Morning Ally, Morning Weka

Ally, have just the best time - sounds amazing (as it always does!)
Weka, ignore them - if every child were the same they'd come with an instruction manual; but they're not and they don't! Let them huff and puff - your daughters health is more important than their strop ;)

Up early for me today - had a really lazy day yesterday and now think I'm caught up on my sleep. Off to Sainsbury's really early to get a few staples so I can utilise whatever leftovers there are from the past few days. Then off to that garden centre I was wanting to go to yesterday but didn't :)

Thinking of Ton today - good luck with the move and wishing you and Grumpy many many happy years in your new home xxxx

Osc, how are you feeling today? Hopefully a bit better?

Hope those affected by the heavy rains are staying dry and safe and that it all soon stops. Kaz, any more news on Teweksbury (not sure how to spell that sorry)

Have a lovely day all, and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Holy moly I've just read the paper! What's going on over there. That flooding looks really bad! Hope everyone has dry feet.

Good morning everybody.
Weka, We have had heavy rain for long periods but have missed the flooding. Two local supermarkets which are near a river have been closed as a roundabout at the entrance has been flooded. If you go on the Daily Mail web site there are a lot of photos showing the extent of the flooding.
Ton, hope your move goes as planned.
Having a lazy day.

Good morning everyone :)

Ally, have a splendid time :D :D

Weka, as Ria said just ignore them - if S is on antibiotics and still poorly it would be daft to take her that far from medical attention, so take no notice of them! No flooding here yet but Tewksbury is under a severe warning and we have had so much rain here! Luckily for us personally we are on a hill here compared to the city centre and river (the Severn)m the walk into town is all on an incline, so even in '07 when the whole city was under water this road didn't flood, but I feel very sorry for those living by the river! Weka it is also unusually warm, about 20 degrees farenheit warmer than normal! :o

Morning cruiser, glad you have also escaped the flooding and hope you enjoy your lazy day :)

Thinking of Ton and Grumpy today, and hoping the move goes well!! :D :D :D

It's actually not raining this morning (touch wood!) and there is some vague sunshine, so hopefully it might stay that way! I am longing for a good walk, and certainly need one! We could do with some milk and bread here (although I do have both in the freezer) and some fresh salad leaves, so I think I will walk the long way up to Sainsbury's and get some there! Mick is off work today, and in fact is only working Thursday this week, but I'll leave him in peace I think to maybe do a bit of sketching or read one of his new books! I bought him a book on Ulysses and B bought him a book on watercolour painting so he has choice LOL ;) B is working again, lots of extra hours at the moment which is great, she got her best ever pay this month, so her savings are mounting up :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx :D

Morning all, it is dull and damp out there but not raining at the moment. We are also lucky that we live on a hill but there continues to be bad flooding in the west and midlands with more heavy rain forecast. I am feeling a teeny bit better today although I woke in the night with a headache and throat hurting, so I got up to take some paracetemol. This involved half a scone and a cup of green tea so I wouldn't be taking them on an empty stomach, therefore I was awake for quite a while. Still have the headache which feels migrainey so I might have to bludgeon it with a migraine tablet if it doesn't improve.

I have opted out of the family event today, and am hoping that I will be ok for our little party tomorrow night - we are leaving the necessary food shopping until tomorrow morning just in case we have to cancel it, but hopefully we won't have to. I will do a few bits and pieces around the house today but nothing too strenuous (any excuse  ) Good luck to Ton and Grumpy today, tiring and stressful but with a happy ending! Have a good day everyone :)
