Not quite in your face for me but I know the feeling.
Two months ago I was told I had to make a registration with the Belgian government that, strictly speaking, I didn't have to do. I challenged it and it has gone away for now, but will come back.
When the city centre was shut down I got a phone call, whilst on the train up north of Paris, with no chance of going home, that I was not allowed to go into work on the Monday and as I did not have remote access I would not be paid. This went on, day by day, until Thursday when I got back to work.
Last Tuesday we were told that our test leads were going to get more and different work which was higher priority than the work we had them doing but we would still be expected to have our testing done on time for our projects
This Tuesday I found out one of our test leads had been let go because they were millions over budget on a late running project and that they had axed his work as "not important".....
My friend at work, in a different department, has been saying to me for weeks, "the world hates you".....
Yesterday I accepted another job.
Not any more it doesn't...
I feel for you Ria, it's never fun to be in a difficult work situation...
