A weekend in the UK conversation...

Postby Ally » 29 Nov 2015, 23:30

..so Conor flies over to Nottingham Friday morning, lands at 10am and leaves again at 5pm Sunday.

We meet him at Malaga airport at 9pm and (apart from the fact it's sooooo good to see him again) I mention casually he looks a bit tired.

The conversation goes as:

Conor: I am a bit pooped mum but I had a fantastic time.

Me: Did you get some sleep (meaning a snooze on the plane)

Conor: Yes, I got a couple of hours.

Me: Gosh, that's good. You must have slept practically the whole flight.

Conor: I meant for the whole weekend!

He's no idea how long he'll be away Ria.

He's got himself a job at BioCity in Nottingham. :D

He's made lots of new friends (and quite a few of them are Spanish. )

He's booked to go to Paris  in March to meet up with his close Spanish friend Alvaro. Conor and Lucia have also booked to meet up there too at the same time. :D

Jacob's really enjoying his time over there and says he doesn't mind the cold too much.

As long as he's safe and happy that's all we can ask for. :D

Good for Jacob and the job.

Ally, with the way flying is nowadays he is probably "nearer" than some places in Spain.

Ria, letting go is the easy bit, it's getting them to do the same....... "mum/dad, can I borrow, can you lend me, I need, is the house/car free, a lift to, a lift back from....."
