Good morning Tuesday

Postby meriad » 17 Nov 2015, 06:53

Up bright and early - the alarm went off usual time but I'm exhausted; been awake more or less since 2am coughing (2nd night now) so decided to email people at work and tell them I'm not coming in. Don't think it's anything contagious but equally not pleasant to anyone else having to listen to me so makes sense esp as it's a quiet day.

that means I'll be pottering about at home today - I did manage to move the kitchen / dining area around on Sunday but certain things are now just totally in the wrong place so I need to have a rethink. Ideally I should (and I will) head to Ikea to get another kitchen cupboard, but that will have to wait a few weeks.

Hope you all have a lovely day xx

Morning Meriad & Ally
We have been up early. We had a new chest freezer delivered late yesterday afternoon. The instructions said we had to let it stand for three hours after the packing was removed to allow the coolant to settle.
So we didn't plug it in until we went to bed last night.
Mrs.e got up this morning at 6.00 a.m to transfer the frozen food from the old one to the new one. Then came back to bed.
I got up at 7.00 a.m and took the ice out of the old one, took the wooden trolley which I had fixed to the base off it and put it on the drive.
Hopefully it is being picked up today. A truck comes round regularly picking up scrap metal free of charge. The local council charge at least £10.00
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all - today Jen and two of her friends go to Vienna :D They fly from Newcastle but change at Dusseldorf with a 6 hour changeover wait......I'm so pleased she has a holiday as she hasn't had a brilliant year and work for her isn't great, but in view of the recent events, I am more than a little worried for her.....

I'm off to work soon - busy day ahead - I got a bottle of wine on Saturday as a 'reward' for doing such good sales when I am on my own on Wednesday mornings! While it is very nice to be recognised, I would have much more appreciation for a pay rise, or our bonus back!! I didn't say this of course....too chicken

I'm off tomorrow morning for the funeral....I have been given compassionate leave for that so I don't have to pay back any time.

Stay safe all, beware of Barney!!

Ria I hope you feel better soon, I have a bit of a tickle myself so I do sympathise! xx

Morning all :D

Hope you feel better soon Ria, having a disturbed night is horrid x

Dry at the moment, hoping it stays that way as I'm off to the hairdresser for my usual cut/colour/blow dry this morning. She's relocated her salon into town so, weather permitting, E plans to come and join me later for a nice walk around the harbour.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone :)

Ally have a lovely walk! I love walking by the sea 8-) :)

Cruiser that was an early start, but great you can get your old freezer taken away for free :)

Oh Ria, I hope your cough shifts soon :( Good idea to get some rest at home today (((((x)))))

It looks gloomy and wet here today. I hope it doesn't pour down as I want to go out and get myself some gear for my zumba classes. I have another one tomorrow, and the leggings, plimsolls, teeshirt combo I wore yesterday isn't really up to scratch. I need proper footwear, a sports bra (that's a must  ) and some nice zumba leggings and a top 8-) I don't even ache this morning, which is amazing as I was sure I would   Me, enjoying exercise - that's a first :P

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

ETA Gal I hope J has a brilliant holiday - security will be so tight at the moment, that she will be safer than ever, but I understand your nerves (((((x)))))

The bottle of wine sounds good, but like you said money would be better ;) Well done on the sales!! xx

And now Jen has also beaten me to posting - I really have to type faster ;)  Have a good day Jen, and nice walk by the harbour. I am thinking of getting my hair a fair bit shorter, but am unsure :? :D

Morning everyone

Another gorgeous morning here.

Ria, hope your cough clears soon, get some stuff from the chemist, to ease it a bit. Grumpy is the same and it's taken almost 10 days to ease off, and he hates having to take anything at all, but this stuff (German  ) is good stuff, smells a bit like that black thick stuff we used to have years ago.

More packing and stuff for us today. The lady from the charity will be ringing about collection of various stuff and Carla is also going to ring, as we're being pushed from the other agent to sign early. And we have doubts, as I'd have to transfer money over, then in a week or so, send it back, as I don't want/need 11,000€ in our bank here  And by the time it's all sorted, we'll only be a day or so away from signing anyway

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, absolutely miserably wet here  I hope to drive today, if my ankle feels ok with that range of movement which I think it will - if so we will go to Lidl to stock up, shopping locally is so expensive  Otherwise, at home for the rest of the day, reading, knitting, whatever. Great excitement in the country about last night's football result, I'm sure there will be very busy credit unions today as people look for loans to go to France next summer! Have a good day everyone :)
