Don't know what's happened with the weather, today was looking as if it was going to be awful but it's lovely!
It rained a lot in the night, wish it would always do that

Yes Osc quite a lot of sport here too. Grand prix, plus the Davis Cup again today, which we will watch as the last couple of rounds have been terrific - it's from Glasgow. And the rugby - neither of us are particular rugby fans but do tend to get involved with these big events

Gradually getting organised for our holiday, now that I dare believe we're actually going, have ordered a new sack of dogfood, that should come today, plus very lightweight rain jackets, just in case Bt we've been meaning to do that anyway, my old one started leeching colour and Bb's are all a bit too heavy for packing.
Insurance on today's list, that will be fun

It will be lovely for you to meet Scarlet, glad you're feeling better Saundra.

Sounds like a lot of people will be watching the rugby, me I'd rather watch paint dry and will be avoiding it all Nice if it means family get togethers though, so enjoy your weekend Kaz.

It's about 1300m above sea level Ria and the route we plan to take should be about 8km to the top.

I'll have my pedometer on so it will be interesting to see the total time.

When my sister worked for Aer Lingus she always said she would rather have a plane full of soccer supporters than rugby supporters. Over here a lot of rugby heads would have gone to the posher schools and have developed an arrogant sense of entitlement. Mind you, many of them had their wings clipped by the collapse of the Celtic Tiger, so maybe that has changed and I do know a lot of 'ordinary' rugby supporters. Lots of sports telly in this house over the weekend I presume , I think Ireland is playing its first game tomorrow, I am really not interested in rugby. Have a good day everyone

Osc, I think a lot of the country might still be like that, with rugby mainly being played in private and grammar schools but Gloucester has always been a rugby town and everyone plays it, all the local schools do and there are a lot of local grass-roots teams. Mick has played with and against doctors, lawyers, local councillors, builders, plumbers, you name it. It's actually very democratic here
