Absolutely (((((Kaz)))))))

Well we were poor when we got married, so we bought a second hand 22 carat wedding ring for £50 for me :D I never took it off my finger for 27 years until I had to have it cut off due to arthritis. Now it is too big really, but I still wear it all the time.
I also have a lovely engagement ring which we bought from a tiny shop in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham and an eternity ring that Mr L bought me in Guernsey :D

I only wear a wedding ring when I am going out dancing or when I am cruising. It was my MIL which I had altered so that it would fit me.
I will not wear one all the time as I have seen someone injured wearing one at work and have heard of other people having similar injuries.

You're right in a way Cruiser, Grumpy didn't wear a ring from his first marriage as he worked on buiklding sites as a carpenter.

I flogged my first wedding ring :o can't remember what happened to the engagement ring - well, it wa a long tiume ago.

Grumpy and I both wear gold rings, matching bits on the side, scolloped or something, but mine has worn down. And the engagement ring has had to be re-built - worn down again, all that washing up

I also have 2 eternity rings - one that we bought before I was actually divorced and the other one, I bought myself  because I liked it.

As you will have noted from the wedding day thread, my ring came off my finger almost immediately

I do love it now, especially as I wear mostly silver. But it wouldn't break my heart if I lost it, (well the cost of replacing it would as it is platinum).

I really wanted an eternity ring for my Silver Anniversary but I got a bag instead, far more useful

I think the reason I might not have got my eternity ring is due to the fact Mr Shell bought me a beautiful white and yellow gold with three diamonds ring for my 40th. The minute that ring went on my finger things went wrong so I refuse to wear it. He is very much once bitten twice shy is my husband
