we should be used to this...
Got to the hospital at 2.00 and was told to wait in the waiting room - which was packed and hot. An hour later I was called in and the nurse (Nelson) insisted that Grumpy come too. Was shown a changing room, given green trousers, jacket, hair net and throw away slippers. Strip off and come out when ready. did that, Helson told Grumpy to go back to wiating room.
Nelson then did the blood pressure - a little high - stucj a drip in my arm and left me, in a rather comfy chair, looking over the entrance of the hospital, so that kept me amused, watching them all. And the tele was on. In coms another lady, same procedure.
At 4.30 another lady comes in, with a bandage over one eye, was given a cup of coffee and biscuits. Nelson did the honours with the needle ans stuff.
15 minutes later, the other lady went off for her op and Nelson came in, asked if I was okay. I asked him to tell Grumpy that I may be some time, but he said I'd be in soon.
10 past 5, in comes another nurse, ontroduced herself, in a lovely Australian accent, as Kate, Off we went.
The rather gorgeous Dr Cesar did the actual op, I had drops, three sorts and an injection - ouch - in my eye-lid.
20 minutes later, I'm out, having my cup of coffee and biscuits. Drip out, given soem cream and back tomorrow at 9.00 for Dr Isobel to have a look.
Limp sent to histology and I have to ring Dr Cesar next week to have a chat.
Got hom at 6.45
