Buona sera!

Postby Osc » 04 Jul 2015, 19:08

Evening all! Got here just after 3pm yesterday, plane, bus, train and boat to get here but all travel went well. It was bloody hot and humid  The flat is lovely, very old, right in the village, and the view is exactly as on the link. The woman who owns it lives in France, she inherited from her grandmother whose home it was. It's like something out of a film, we are on the second floor and there are worn stone steps all the way up. We are right beside a church bell tower (we knew about that from our previous visit) which rings every quarter hour  although thankfully it stops at 10pm and doesn't start again till 7am - so it's early to bed and early to rise!

Last night we just had the quickest simplest meal we could find as it had been a long day, and there was a storm brewing. The storm was pretty big and noisy with lots of rain and went on for an hour and a half. Today we did some food shopping and this afternoon went to the lido where we swam in the lake and in the pool. Lovely meal this evening in a restaurant to which we will return. Of course the day is interspersed with ice cream ;)

Walk planned for tomorrow, we did this walk last time and it passes by a trout fishery where you can eat, so that's tomorrow's meal sorted  Glad to see everyone is well xx

Sounds perfect to me, including the bell tower :)
Actually I went up one today, in our town, it's only open to the public one day a year so I thought I should ;)
