Good morning Sunday

Morning
Much duller and cloudier here now than it was earlier, bit no rain as yet and it's meant to clear up later.

I got the bits I trimmed off our lamb the other week out of the freezer, so that will be made into kebabs - either barbequed or griddled
Have soaked chickpeas to make hummus too, plus there's walnut bread and olives and salad...can you tell I'm feeling peckish
Last night we had the second half of that huge Indian meal, I did some saag with it because we always would have veg, but it was again plenty for two

Not sure what we're doing today, this weather could do anything, but the town and roads will be chocca anyway.

Morning all, it rained quite a bit last night, including when we were walking home from the train, luckily I had brought an umbrella. We had a lovely evening out with friends and we were home by 10.30 but I am unaccountably exhausted this morning, plus my back is still sore and dragging me down. Lots to do today, have to get the suitcases down from the attic, take out the passports, get Mr Osc to decide what shorts he wants to bring, pay some bills, and make a to-do list for the coming week. Oh sorry....weather....it was a dull start, but is clearing well and is nice and warm. Have a good day everyone

Well the sun's shining right now, but the clouds have been hovering all morning. E said it was actually quite warm when he walked round for the papers.

Managed to get lots of washing done yesterday, will probably have a go at tidying the garden later.

Osc are you taking something for your back?
Ibuprofen for instance, but a full course, ie maximum dose for 2 or 3 days - after food - you don't want it dragging on (((x)))

Di, I can't take any anti inflammatories, my tummy doesn't like them it's coming and going today and I will take some paracetemol with my lunch.

Nor does mine Osc, and I still don't take them very often, but I now have Omeprazole, which counteracts the effects
It's brilliant and has no side effects itself, you just take it once a day before taking any ibubprofen.
I'm worried about your holiday, and anti-inflammatories are what it usually needs xx

So sorry to hear about your back Osc - I have had hip pain pretty bad for this past couple of days and don't know how I'd manage without Nurofen It reduced me to tears this morning

Weather is sunshine and showers, I'm doing the second load of washing now after hanging the first lot out - theres a stiff breeze so it should be ok...coloured my hair this morning after its cut last Thursday....why can I not get the same bounce that the HD gets????

Not doing much atm....bit of reading bit of sitting, ironing this morning.....it's all go!!

Well it stayed horrid here, so I cooked the meat - chicken thighs in a soy and ginger sauce, mini lamb and mint kebabs, and burgers - in the oven and we had salad, jacket potatoes, potato salad and chunky coleslaw with it, sat at the dining table Blow me down, an hour later the sun came out and it's been lovely ever since!

I s'pose the bounce is part of what makes a trip to the hairdresser a treat

Lol Kaz, after I posted this morning it got darker and darker and then rained on and off for a few hours - quite nice now though
Having looked at the lamb, I didn't bother making kebabs, just cut it into 3 pieces, marinated then griddled it, then cut it up a bit to serve it.
It's decided us to never buy lamb anywhere else (it was from the butcher in Lyndhurst), it was so gorgeous
