Dinner tonight

Postby tonicha » 09 Jun 2015, 17:14

Aldi's are doing a deal on chickens, so I bought two, but they're really tiny   as the Portuguese like them. Not much more than 2 kilos, the pair of them

So, roast chicken and all the bits and bobs, apart from the paxo stuffing ;) , I normally shove a lemon and garlic in ;) - and then tomorrow, what's left, we'll have cold with a salad :D :D :D

I had salmon. That was all. Just a piece of salmon!

The others had salmon with new potatoes, French beans, baby carrots and baby corn with an avocado and creme freche sauce.

But, I ate so much bits at the buffet I feel really bloated. I didn't' pig out - I had four open bread cobs (only tiny little bite size cobs at that), one piece of pork pie, two vol-au-vents and one thin piece of quiche. Followed by a small piece of cake. And I feel really bloated. I hardly eat bread and pastry now and I can't quite believe how awful I felt after it.

I must have always felt like that but it was the norm.

So I could only manage a small piece of salmon. It was lovely though.

There are times when I feel bloated, having had a roll for brekkie - other times, I'm fine

That's why I've always had a problem with buffets and work-type lunches Debih, so often there's nothing but bread and pastry-based foods, and no salad or veg.

We're having a pack of spinach and ricotta tortellini with sort of your summer chicken sauce. More spinach, creme fraiche, tiny tomatoes and pesto :)
And garlic bread :D

We had quiche and salad - B and Mick had chips with theirs ;)

Debih I find that now - I don't do it often but just sometimes on a Monday, after being weighed, I have some cake or pastry and TBH it sits like lead on my tum and I feel sluggish. I will probably stop bothering as it isn't really a treat when it feels like that :?
