The Phone Call - SCAM WARNING!

Number 02078909051 rings my mobile. It is Halifax/Bank of Scotland doing a survey.

"Do you have bank account?"
"I certainly do, I have two."
"Can I ask who your main one is with."
"You can, you just did."
Pause.
"Do you want me to tell you who it is with."
"Please."
"Oh, let me see............. no I couldn't possibly te...."
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The number is apparently owned by GfK NOP, a proper and registered market research company. However, banks, or their agents, do not ask for your bank details when they phone you.

I suspect that the number is being spoofed on Caller ID and it is being used to steal account information. Be aware! If you do get the call do not give anything away, not even your name.

Very interesting, I wonder if it was a spoofed phone call ......

Too many of these market research / survey type telephone calls. I just tell them politely to beggar off.
