Morning all :D
In spite of the smog yesterday (which made my hay fever terrible) the sun was
out and it was 70 degrees. Jumpers came off and we sat in the garden
Today it is bitter cold, windy and looks like rain.
Jumpers back on. I doubt if it is more than 50 degrees at the moment
Have a good day.
Waiting for Son to phone as they arrived back from Cyprus late last night.

Afternoon. I have been to make my contribution to the Distressed Bookmaker's charity, aka the Grand National.

I get the same horse every year, it's called And Fallen At The First.

Good afternoon all, it's sunny here after a wet start but it's not as warm as it has been.

No major plans here. Going for a drive over to Lichfield in a moment to pick up John's bike after he biked into work and got the bus home on Thursday. I need to get some flowers and drop them into my friend as it's her birthday tomorrow. I've got her a present to take too but the flowers will be from Joe as she's one of his Godmothers. Tonight we'll see my parents.

We don't have Sky Sports, I just buy a Day Pass from Now TV if there's a match on Sky that we want to watch.

Have a good day all!

That's interesting Jo, I'm with BT but there is still the occasional game I'd like to watch on Sky - what's a day pass and how do you get it?

You need to have Now TV - I think you either need a box which is cheap or it's an app if you have a smart TV and I think it's available on devices too - and then you buy a pass from them for £6.99 and activate it when you want to use it and it lasts for 24 hours. You can get a one week pass for £10.99.

It is a good idea if it's for the odd match or week. No good for us as the IPL is on daily for over a month :D
Plus of course each test match is 5 days; I'm with Saundra, would prefer to be able to have just the sports channels.

That's a really good idea re the garden Saundra :)

The problem we have is that football is on both Sky Sports and BT, with matches shared between them so it gets too expensive to subscribe, especially when a) me and Joe try to get to home games whenever we can and b) I only really want to watch Man Utd. There's the MUTV channel but they only show the pre-match build up and interviews/chat afterwards, they do show the game itself but not live, you have to wait until later in the day. Sometimes we find a naughty live stream online from foreign channels who are showing it.
