Today, there is no sign of the goose! Just an empty cage .....

Either they were goose-sitting for a friend, or it was a bird they were looking after for the local vets (which is three doors away from them), or they have cooked it.

I'm sad in a way. Staring at it gave me something to do in the afternoons .....

Perhaps he or she was introduced to a lady or gentleman goose and they have eloped

Perhaps it heard there was a Wild Ostrich in the vicinity, so it scarpered
