Leaving aside the brutality

I was not that impressed. There was lots of galloping along cliff top paths and lingering looks at derelict mines perched precariously on sea lashed cliffs, but not much atmosphere.
I could not get over the lack of chemistry between Elizabeth and Poldark (or Russ or Ross, depending upon who was calling his name) and Demelza is far too beautiful for a father beaten waif and stray.
I will stick with it, but.......
