Morning all! It's lovely here, though still very windy! Just heading into Birmingham - just on Spaghetti Junction as I type. John's taking a bike frame to be powder coated (??) and then we're having a mooch, I want lipstick so will be in Selfridges. No doubt there'll be coffee and cake at some point and we fancy a look at the library to see what the fuss is all about. It's been open a while now but we've not been yet, it's so true about things that are on your doorstep isn't it.

Have a good day all!

Good afternoon every body.
Glorious sunshine here.
Shopping this morning, then cleaned the car. First time for several weeks.
Have been out again to Aldi as we are having visitors next Thursday and we like the little pies from there.
This morning, managed to make an appointment to go to the eye clinic on line. I could choose from several dates and times.
I have been referred by my optician who I saw last month. He wants a second opinion although he said I do not have to worry as there has only been a small change in my eyesight.
If it stays like this may do some gardening tomorrow.

Exactly what I thought! What age were you, 12???

Gorgeous day here too. We went to Ikea this morning armed with a list and got almost everything on it for a very reasonable amount of money including a €5 voucher I had, every little helps. Then home and after a late lunch we assembled the two bookcases we had bought, which are exactly what we wanted and fit beautifully under the stairs up to the terrace. Lamb shanks for dinner thanks to the slow cooker, and now we are collapsed exhausted in our chairs to catch up on some telly. Hope everyone else had a good day :)

Good evening friends.

We paid a visit to our old home town today, and had a lovely time
looking round the shops and visiting, and chatting to, an old friend.

The journey involved two buses and two trains each way, but didn't
cost us a penny as it was within the area covered by our free passes.

We were surprise how much our old town had altered in just 3 years.

This evening we had frozen ready meals which were absolutely massive.
After we had managed to devour them, we then looked at the packets
and found that they were packs for two people. No wonder we feel full.

Hope you all had a good day, too.
