Good morning Friday

Postby debih » 25 Jan 2013, 08:54

Brr its cold and icy out there. I went flying this morning when I took Millie out for her 6am walk. My bum and my back are really painful now - a perfect excuse to not do alot today.

So far I have put a ham hock in the slow cooker and done a couple of loads of washing. I think after pushing the hoover round I might light the fire and sit and watch things I have recorded, sew up L's and Millies toys that have various arms/legs/heads missing and do my knitting.

We are forecast more snow later today - we have an amber warning.

Morning all :D

Up bright and early as we off to Kent to see our grandsons. Now Mr.J's retired we don't have to wait til he's home from work so get a bit of extra time with them all. Mind you made the mistake of mentioning my new found prowess making bread (thanks for the recipe's debih) so spent yesterday evening baking

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning everyone!

It's bright and sunny here but still very, very icy so I'm staying put today. We've also got heavy snow forecast for this afternoon although it's supposed to be turning into heavy rain overnight, but with the -temperature forecast that's likely to freeze  So hoping that this thaw happens.

On a happier note I've just got tickets for myself and Tom to see Frank Turner in April. We love Frank :D His song Photosynthesis is one of my favourites, love the lyrics!

Debbie, take it very easy today, a fall on the ice can really knock you about :?

Saundra, glad your DIL is started to get back to normal. What a nightmare it's all been for her.

Have a lovely time Jen!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning all :)
Glad Mr L will be home Loz, you need a lot of extra hugs.
Jen pleased you're getting to see your grandchildren. Debih yes a day's rest and pootling is definitely in order ;)
Saundra hope DIL is ok, she will probably be exhausted at first but good to be back at work.
Ton it's always good to find something that's too big :)

Hope I haven't missed anyone with anything important.
Dry, cold and windy here, rain due yet again though. Bb going out to work soon, and will be collecting youngest for the weekend later.

Andy Murray vs Federer is on TV so if it gets exciting I shall be watching that more closely :)
Hope everyone stays safe in the awful weather

Good morning all :D

Cloudy here today but warm.

We stayed chatting in bed till the postman rang the bell at 11am and trust me that's early for postie to call.  (In fact, if I ever come back in another life a Spanish postman would be my dream job. Bonkers hours, pootling on a scooter and wonderful views!  )

I am just going to enjoy being at home today..reading, relaxing and...oooh, reading.

Out tonight for the usual beers and tapas. :D :D

Enjoy the day.
