Good morning ally and anybody else who is up.

The sun is shining but there are some clouds about.

Going to a meeting in Preston this morning.

Then out dancing this evening.
Osc, Did you learn the new Quickstep, saunter and cha cha. We only did the first two last night and may do the same tonight again

Morning Ally, morning Cruiser :) Good morning everyone :)

Good luck Ton! xx

It's another bright and sunny, but chilly day here ;) I do love to see the sunshine :) 8-) I'm off into town this morning to meet a new friend for coffee - well tea in my case ;) Her name is Alison (which bodes well :D ;) ) and we met in the coffee shop a few weeks ago, and ended up talking for a couple of hours :o and got on really well! Like me she's not local, moved into the area a couple of years ago and we seemed to have a fair bit in common. We decided to meet up again, but she had a small scheduled op to get out of the way, so it's been a few weeks.....:)

It will be nice to have another friend to go out and about with sometimes - the woman next door here, Sue, is lovely and we've been out for a cuppa, or shopping, a couple of times, but she is very busy with her elderly parents who are both ill and in care, both needing visiting every day at the moment, and a couple of weeks ago her hubby broke his shoulder! She has her hands really full right now, so we've not been out since before Christmas.....

Anyway, A seems nice :) I've not found it easy to make friends here, especially since I stopped working - people in this city take 'cliquey' to a new level. It isn't that they are unfriendly, mostly they are lovely people, but most have been born and grown up here, and as it's a small city everyone is either related or else knows everyone else, and they all seem to have had their group of friends since school! It's hard to break through that..... :?

Those are my plans anyway - I hope you all have a nice day :) xx

Morning :)
Lovely and sunny here too, and cold and windy. There was a huge rain or hailstorm in the night which woke me up hammering against the bedroom window - apparently later in the week it's going to get warm :)

Thanks for the hug Ton, it's still feeling fragile but not so bad. Good luck for today x
Kaz have a nice time, it is hard when you don't work isn't it x
Off to the local hospital for my jab this morning, so not much else planned but would like some fresh air.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all

started off lovely and sunny this morning but by the time I got into London it was rather overcast with a really nippy wind - brrrrrrr

Kaz, I hope you have a fab time with the other Alison. I know just what you mean about struggling to meet new people so it's always nice when things like this happen. Enjoy your cuppa
Di, take it easy today - hope you're feeling better soon x

and Ton definitely good luck with the visit to Faro, crossing fingers and toes for you

have a lovely day everyone else; enjoy whatever it is you're up to.

Vibes for the poorlies - Saundra; how are you feeling?

Morning all, nice and bright here, but I'm sure it is cold although there is not much frost on the roofs. Pilates this morning, then we will bring all the rubbish to the Bring centre, didn't do it yesterday. Also bringing our old printer for recycling and a couple of bags of stuff to Oxfam. I put some leftover new cartridges of printer ink on ebay on Sunday and sold them yesterday, so must organise sending them off :D

Cruiser, last night we were doing the Wedgewood Blue Gavotte - we have done it before but it's pretty tricky as you know, so it's always good to have a refresher. I was quite impressed at how quickly others in the class were picking it up. The most recent "new" one we did was the Argentine Stroll! We were the first to dance it in the Tower Ballroom, having it announced by the organist, but that was about 18 months ago.

Need to put on a wash and change the bed linen before I go to Pilates, so better get a move on. Have a good day everyone :)
