Oh Jo!

Ton isn't it wonderful, I spent 3 years in Bb's flat without a proper kitchen or oven.
The day after we moved in here I bought a chicken to roast :D

My mum, bless her, was thrilled to bits with the new kitchen she had put in, just before she died. A couple of days before my niece was round there, and they were baking and having a great time - Mum had only had a combi microwave in that kitchen before, and she managed for about 15 years with that! :D :D

Goodness Kaz, she did well! We had a combi microwave in our flat but also had a hob so it wasn't so bad, that was for 3 years. We've always had a combi microwave since then, but I've never actually used that setting on the one we have now and we've had it for 4 years.

Flippin' Parcelforce! They tried to deliver a parcel today while I was out so they've taken it, according to their card, to the local Post Office branch to be collected...but taking it to the nearest one, which is less than a 5 minute walk away, is too easy. They've taken it to one 4 miles away which requires 2 buses to get there and has limited opening hours ie shuts for lunch and John comes by that general area on his way home from work but it closes at 5.30pm. They've done this before and it was a right pain to pick it up but then the next time I missed them the parcel was taken to the post office down the road so was no problem to collect.

Oooh Jo, how infuriating!!!! :x

Yes Mum cooked all sorts in the combi - my dad's favourite roasts, and sponge puds etc - but she was thrilled to get the proper oven 8-)

My Mom uses her combi a lot, she says it's easier at times than using the main oven for just the two of them. My sister bought them a halogen cooker a while back and they like that too.

Jo, can't you go online and ask them to try and deliver again - I'm sure you're allowed one more try for free. Or ask them to transfer it to the post office closer to you
