How kind, the boys let us sleep in until 7.15

Well I'm now showered and it's E's turn, then we'll do brekkie and decide what the weather's going to do. It's extremely foggy at the moment and because we rarely see this time of day we've no idea if it's likely to clear The plan is to take the boys down to the harbour either today or tomorrow, it all depends on the weather, must have a look at the forecast

It looks damp and fairly yukky out their today, but it's WW this morning so I'll be out in it Then Harry is coming this afternoon!!! Mick has another day off so is picking him up at lunchtime He'll be here for a few days, probably going back Thursday night, as he has footie training on Friday

It's chucking it down. I am lay in bed. I should be at work! I got up once to get the girls off to school and came back to bed to doze. Must get a move on - I'm so glad we have flexi time!

Hoping to run when I finish work, then home to potter and finish reading adoption papers.

Grey again here but the sun is supposed to be round from tomorrow

A late start for us, always a very late and long boozy night when we see Tom and I really couldn't be bothered to get up earlier, it was too warm in bed and cold outside

Oh, that's a bonus Kaz You have a good man there, that's a lot of driving.

Happy Birthday to Oliver, who is 5 today

Hoping for a phone cll to say oven and hob on their way today and then I move out for a couple of days I am not staying here to listen to ole grumpy knickers trying to make things work/fit.

Morning all - I feel rather lost without my laptop. Love VV but trying to read it on the phone is not an easy thing to do so I didn't catch up over the weekend.

Usual work day for me - had a lovely day off on Friday, went to see the butterflies at Wisley followed by a fab (late) lunch at a pub not far from there. A very relaxed weekend and now back to work

Dry start to the day this morning but apparently they're expecting rain later today

Kaz, enjoy every minute with H; the time will no doubt whizz by
Ton, if you can't have a relaxing morning when there's not much planned for the day then when can you. Esp as you say when it's nice and warm inside but chilly outside. Happy Birthday to Oliver

Good morning all, it's dull and drizzly here which I suppose is better than the heavy rain that was forecast for all day.

I'm just back from a walk to town and back, no lie ins here - I was in Aldi at just after 8am Joe's still in bed and Tom is at M's house. John's only working three days this week, he's still using up last year's holiday allocation from the 5 days he was able to carry over so is finishing on Wednesday. The plan is that he and the boys are going to stay with MIL on Friday, coming back on Saturday night.

Bit of wardrobe tidying here I think, I had a clear out before we built the wardrobes but think I can do better. I did some on Friday but I want to get it finished today

We had half term last week Ria. No idea why it was early. I think Derbyshire was the only county off last week.

In fact I hadn't realised it was early - if I had I would have booked a few days away somewhere. A friend booked four nights at Centre Parcs and it was half the usual holiday price.

It's like a summers day here so all bed linen has been washed, dried and put back on the beds.

Been a Domestic Goddess but it's all done now.

Going for a run then get ready for work 4 - 8.

Jo, in all honesty the steak was OK but not more than that. I probably had very high expectations from the place and it was heaving when we got there so obviously is very popular.

The salad was good as were the fries; and make no mistake the steak was perfectly cooked and super tender, but given the price of the meal it was a very small steak (well I think so). You get the first half once you've had your salad and that half is served with lots of fries; then about 10 or 15 minutes later you get the 2nd half of your steak (again with lots of fries) the idea being that it doesn't get cold. But the steak is cut into thin slivers for you and is covered with their 'special' sauce which I didn't really like and all in all I think my steak consisted of about 10 slivers.

I'm not sure I'd hurry back. If I was invited and someone else paying then yes, not a problem, but if I'm paying £24 for just the meal then I'd rather go to somewhere like Sophie's Steakhouse or (paying a fraction more) Gaucho's....
