They have 4 children Kaz, so more than one shop is understandable - but 17 is definitely not!

One thing that concerned me was the amount of food they were putting on the childrens' plates - as much as for themselves, great big piles of spag bol and chilli :?

More money than sense, and if she only had a penny that would apply.

Just about every food item bought came pre-prepared in a packet, and all of them top of the range.

I didn't want them to save money, I wanted them to go bankrupt!

I did learn something. though. People who have white kitchens only have them for show, they are not for cooking in.

Quite small Kaz, although I think I only saw 3 of the 4, but they might have been a different 3 each time :D

I think the youngest was four and the eldest, ten, and they did get big portions. Well, they did on camera. ;) :D

These bozos spend £355 per week on food! The average is £109 for a family of six.

Our superstar presenters were aiming to save £60 to £100.

Put the silly sods - the family, not the presenters - on flax seeds and skimmed milk and teach one, or both, to cook

I honestly cannot understand anyone having four children but claiming not to be able to cook :?
There really should be something akin to a driving license before you're let loose on something so important

Well we watched - alternating stunned silence with groans of disbelief and helpless laughter

I really didn't like the second couple - she was such a snob, hating that chicken because she thought it was budget when it was actually their usual brand. Talk about the power of suggestion

It beats me where they all get their money from - the last couple were spending in a week what we spend in a month

Oh and yes those portions were huge!!! Especially for the children - how they were all a normal weight beats me! The first family had chunky adults, but not the second couple :?

The thing is, the thing honestly is, that I see what must be their relatives in the supermarket every trip. They have trolleys piled high with boxes, cans and cartons and not a fresh item of food anywhere to be seen. When the cashier asks for £237.83 they do not even blink.
