Morning all, am up in Miss Osc's house stealing some free wifi ;) All sorts of stuff happening ... and not happening  but I refuse to get stressed. We are waking around 5am at the moment *yawns* and then need to be up and showered before the builders arrive. There is a long ongoing saga about the hatch to our terrace, which was coming from England. The older builder phoned the factory in England early this morning, and basically they told him out-and-out lies about (non) efforts to deliver it yesterday, can you imagine that the first excuse was that they had trouble trying to ring from England because there were too many zeros in the number     Anyway it is supposed to arrive at 3pm today, but we shall see. Otherwise we are fine, loads to be done, it will take months but fun months. Must go, lovely granddaught now available for cuddles ;) ;)

Good morning all.

It's a damp and miserable grey day here, no snow for us, and not too cold.

Been a brisk walk first thing, now taking it easy.

Take care if you have snow.

Good afternoon all. The sun came to nothing and we had rain instead. It's still misty, drizzly and cold. I took Billy out just before lunch and was soon regretting it. The lovely frozen ground is now mud, mud and more mud. Horrible!

I ran down to town this morning as Joe's still poorly and I wanted to get his some Friar's Balsam - he's now tried it and decided that it's useless. I did explain several times though that he needs to keep his head covered and over the bowl for it to have any effect, sitting at the breakfast bar with a towel around his neck while gazing at the rising vapours from 18" away isn't going to do much!
I did get some bargains in Wilko though. As I was walking to the checkout I noticed that they'd reduced their Christmas stock. I got a box of Christmas crackers priced at £5 and 3 men's gift sets which were also priced at £5 each, so £20 worth of goods...and I paid a grand total of 80p for the four items. Everything was reduced to 20p!

Have a good day all!

Good afternoon
It was snowing last night when we went to bed. But most of it had gone when we got up this morning. It has been raining for most of the day.
Been doing some more packing.
Went for a pedicure this morning. Always have one before we go on holiday.
Mrs.e bought a pair of fur lined boots over 20 years ago. She only wears them when there is snow and ice about. She wore them when she went to work and did not have any problems walking. Got them from a privately owned shoe shop in Blackburn.
