Morning all :D

Had a very long lie in this morning, we're still in recovery mode

Great bargain Di, so pleased you'll be getting another nice break 8-)

No plans for today, must pop out later for fresh veggies and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all from the House of Germs. Tom was coughing and sneezing all last week (and is still coughing) and now poor Joe's come down with it. He wasn't well yesterday but I sent him to school because he'd had three days off the week that they broke up for Christmas with another cold but it was obvious this morning that he was too poorly to go today, he'd not had much sleep all night. Anyway, he's having a duvet and Modern Family day on the sofa, the room reeks of eucalyptus oil but it's helping him so that's all that matters and I've just made him a cup of hot honey and fresh lemon.

It's bright and sunny here but very chilly, I won't complain though because that means the muddy ground has frozen solid over the common  We had a lovely walk today and Billy didn't have a spot of mud on him, I still had to pretend to clean him down though when we got back. He always goes straight into the utility room when we get back and won't leave until he's been rubbed clean of any mud with a towel

I'll walk him again later this afternoon, the local forecast was quite vague this morning but it seems that we can expect rain, sleet or snow - or all three - this evening and through the night.

Have a good day all!

Good afternoon all.

We've been into Birmingham today, and visited the new library.
They have an exhibition on now of miniature sculptures done in the eyes of sewing needles.
I've never seen anything like it. You need to use the magnifying glasses provided to see the
carved items, some of which are exceedingly complex - for instance a reproduction of The
Last Supper, with Jesus and his disciples The artist says he has to reduce his blood pressure
and hold his breath when working. Absolutely incredible.

Hope you are all OK.

Wonderful Aggers, I'm going to try to get into town to see the Willard Wigan exhibition - he's an incredible artist!

Snowing heavily here now

I believe the exhibition is ending at the end of this week.

If anyone hasn't heard of this man, this is a link to some of his work...

Yes, I think it's running until Sunday which is the only day I can get in this week. I think I read that he's hoping to create a permanent display for in there as well. I did see the exhibition he used to have in the Mailbox some years ago though...incredible!
