Good morning Ally and everybody else.
A cold and frosty morning. Used hot water to defrost the car windows. Drove down to get the paper and some fresh bread. Can park right outside the shop if you are there early before the traffic wardens appear.
Taking mrs.e for am eye test this afternoon. She has one every year. There has not been any real change since she started having them 17 years ago. Still has good eyesight even though she is now 82 years old.

Morning :)
Lovely and bright here, but could change and foul stuff on its way for tonight.
More thunderstorms last night, poor Minnie didn't know what to do with herself.

I'm having a nice birthday so far :)
Bb came home with flowers yesterday - he practically never buys me flowers so that was a lovely surprise :D
Had a birthday card from my lovely nurse at the local hospital which brought a tear to my eye -but the picture made me smile, it's a naked man mowing the lawn
The bestest card from Bb

He bought me this (it was in the sale though)

A bit boring maybe but I don't own a skirt, apart from the gold one from a charity shop, and had been wanting one for a while, so I'm hoping this will be nicely versatile :)
And some money from him and from his mum :D

We think we're going to go to Prezzo tonight, just in the town. We've tried going out to eat other years but in January nowhere's up to scratch, I end up feeling it's a waste. We haven't been for quite a while so will enjoy it :)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all. We had snow on high ground (which means us) though there was nothing down on the main roads.

I'm feeling bleurgh this morning. Can't quite put my finger on what it is but feeling decidedly off it. Thought about ringing in sick but I don't have much to do today and am in the office alone so thought I would come in and work until 12pm then go home.

Off to see mum later before I pick L up to go try on glasses - she needs new ones and didn't like any that they had in the opticians so they ordered some other pairs in for her. Hopefully she will like some of them! The I intend on going home, having a bath and snuggling down in front of the tv. Mick has offered to do the Guide pick up so I don't have to go out again.

Morning all

A tad of a chilly start to the day but no frost or snow or hail or any of the other doom and gloom that was predicted. They do have a yellow weather warning in place for tonight however and South West Trains have already put in speed restrictions for the trains running tonight :? I'd have thought it would make more sense to put them in place once the weather starts; because often with these weather predictions nothing happens - oh well.

Di; poor Minnie, hope she's a bit more settled now? And hope you have a lovely dinner tonight - I really do like Prezzo :D

Hope you feel better soon Kaz - definitely rest up. The cold that is making the rounds seems to be really knocking people for six. And Debih, same to you - stock up on the Vit C and Zinc and grab yourself some Echinacea whilst in town to see if you can stop whatever it is.

Have a lovely day everyone, stay warm, dry and enjoy whatever it is you're doing.

Morning all. Snowing here. I don't think it will last though.
An indoors day for me. What with all the shuffling of stuff around here I need some time in my new little sewing room. Sorting out my fabrics and so on. I'll pop something in the slow cooker too for later.
Hope you will soon be feeling better Kaz and Di have a wonderful day xxx
Have a good one chums. Stay warm x
